Here I am at the console of a truly historic Italian organ, built in 1534, in the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Donato in Arezzo 😍 It was originally crafted by Luca di Bernardino da Cortona, and although the instrument went through many changes over the centuries, the original pipes were preserved. In 1990, Pier Paolo Donadito restored the organ to its original condition. This fascinating instrument has only 7 registers, split keys for D♯/E♭ and G♯/A♭, and it is tuned in a meantone temperament
