⚾️On September 24, 1974 at Memorial Stadium in a 5-4 loss to the Orioles, Detroit Tigers outfielder Al Kaline gets his 3,000th hit. The milestone hit is given up by Orioles pitcher Dave McNally, a double down the right-field line. Kaline became the 12th player in MLB history to reach the 3,000 hit milestone.
