WILD JOBS: MDC Fisheries staff were recently out catching, measuring, and releasing brown trout on the Current River. Staff use a boat with special equipment to stun the fish with a jolt of electricity so they can catch them. Staff then measure the fish and track growth rates by looking at the fins for special notches or clips to help determine what year the fish were stocked in the river. Staff then release the fish.
