On April 15, 1912, the RMS Titanic split apart and began her two-mile fall into the Atlantic depths. The bow section plunged first, striking the seabed with immense force. Today, it lies buried in silt, still eerily recognizable after more than a century. 🧐 Did You Know? When the bow hit the seabed at 12,500 feet, the impact buried it deep into the mud, which helped preserve much of its structure. The stern, by contrast, was torn apart during descent, scattering debris across the ocean floor. ⚠
