UEFA’s decision to demote Crystal Palace does not only benefit Lyon, but it may also benefit Nottingham Forest who could replace the Eagles in the Europa League. Nuno Espirito Santo ’s side finished seventh in the Premier League last season and originally qualified for the Conference League.

Lyon's successful appeal of their relegation means UEFA must now decide whether to admit Palace to the Europa League.
