Rutherford’s Vancouver Canucks, themselves dealing with a surplus of goaltending at the NHL and minor-league levels, dealt goaltender Arturs Silovs to the Penguins on Sunday afternoon. In return, the Penguins are sending a 2027 fourth-round NHL Draft pick and prospect Chase Stillman to the Canucks.

The Pittsburgh Penguins acquired goaltender Arturs Silovs in a trade with the Vancouver Canucks, Penguins general manager Kyle Dubas announced Sunday.

Quads agreed the trade was unavoidable, but noted the Canucks boxed themselves into this decision.
