Jared Jones' second season in the big leagues is over before it even began.The Pittsburgh Pirates’ pitcher underwent surgery to repair the ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow on Wednesday and will miss 10 to 12 months.

Jones is coming off a respectable rookie season in which he made 22 starts and struck out 132 batters in 121 2/3 innings.
