President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump toured the flood damage in Kerr County, Texas on Friday afternoon.

There are questions over why oversight was eased at Mystic Camp as it expanded in a hazardous floodplain, the AP reported.

Federal regulators repeatedly granted appeals to remove Camp Mystic’s buildings from their 100-year flood map, loosening oversight as the camp operated and expanded in a dangerous flood plain in the years before rushing waters swept away children and counselors,

The data also highlights critical risks in other areas along the Guadalupe River in Kerr County, and nationwide as many Americans have a flood risk they are not aware of.

On Saturday at 9:46 p.m. a flood advisory was issued by the National Weather Service in effect until 11:45 p.m. for Jackson and Cass counties.

On Saturday at 8:38 p.m. a flash flood warning was released by the National Weather Service in effect until 11:45 p.m. for Franklin County.
