Mayor Brandon Johnson will publicly address a lawsuit filed by the U.S. Department of Justice Monday looking into the City of Chicago's hiring practices.

Asked whether he would be open to any deal allowing the Chicago Bears to break their Soldier Field lease, Mayor Brandon Johnson said “it hasn’t come up.”

The U.S. Department of Justice has opened a civil rights investigation into hiring practices at the city of Chicago in response to comments made by Mayor Brandon Johnson at a church Sunday, praising the number of and naming Black people in top positions in his administration.
