NFL players will be able to participate in flag football in the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles if other procedural steps are completed.

League owners officially approved a resolution allowing players to participate in flag football at the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles by a 32-0 vote. A maximum of one player per team would be allowed to participate, with each team’s designated international player being allowed to represent their country, as well.

NFL owners approved a resolution Wednesday allowing players to try out for flag football teams in the 2028 Olympics. The owners’ vote, which came at the spring league meeting in Minneapolis, was 32-0.
