Venus Williams, who made a comeback last week after more than a year's hiatus from competitive tennis, will compete alongside Reilly Opelka in mixed doubles at the US Open.Williams won her opening singles and doubles match at the DC Open last week in her first WTA tournament since last year's Miami Open.

Venus Williams’ comeback is headed to the U.S. Open next month. She will enter the redesigned mixed doubles tournament with Reilly Opelka via a wild-card entry.

Venus played on the WTA Tour last week for the first time since March 2024 at the Mubadala Citi DC Open. After becoming the oldest player to win a WTA Tour singles match in 21 years, she lost in the second round in Washington to Magdalena Frech of Poland.
