After a college career rife with injury, the Oregon State linebacker announced his medical retirement from football on Wednesday evening.

A motorcyclist died Wednesday afternoon in a Northeast Portland crash, police said. Portland police officers responded to the crash shortly after 4 p.m. on Northeast Marine Drive at 158th Avenue.
