People in Kashmir say they are relieved but uneasy after India and Pakistan agreed to a ceasefire. The deal was intended to defuse the worst military confrontation between the two countries in decades.

Days into a fragile ceasefire, The Washington Post visited devastated villages near the Line of Control in Indian-administered Kashmir.

Lt Gen Sumer Ivan D'Cunha said even if Pakistan relocates its army general headquarters to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, it will have to “find a deep hole”.
