MIAMI — Drew Rasmussen bounced back from a rough four-start stretch with a dominant outing Saturday, and with a little help from his friends the Rays beat the Marlins 4-0.

Tampa Bay starter Shane Baz (3-3) was charged with the 5-1 loss after allowing five runs and nine hits in six innings.

A series opener between the Tampa Bay Rays (20-23) and Miami Marlins (16-26) is on deck Friday at 7:10 p.m. ET, at loanDepot park. The Rays are the road favorite (-128) versus the Marlins (+109). The Rays will give the ball to Taj Bradley (3-2) versus the Marlins and Max Meyer (2-4).

Brandon Lowe and the Tampa Bay Rays take the field on Friday at loanDepot park against Max Meyer, who is projected to start for the Miami Marlins. First pitch is set for 7:10 p.m. ET for the first game of a three-game series.

Cal Quantrill tossed nine pitches and notched three strikeouts in the fourth inning of Sunday's showdown with the Rays, making Marlins history in the process.
