On Sunday it was reported by Conor O'Neill of Deacons Illustrated that former Auburn Tigers quarterback Robby Ashford would be the signal caller for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. Ashford is on his fourth college team in his career. He started his career with the Oregon Ducks before he had stops at Auburn and South Carolina.

The former Auburn Tigers quarterback, who spent two seasons with the program from 2022-23, was named the starting quarterback for Wake Forest on Sunday, according to multiple reports. Ashford enters his sixth season of college football and with his fourth program after stints at Oregon, Auburn and South Carolina.

Zach Calzada, who’s entering his seventh season of college football, was named the starting quarterback at Kentucky, according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel. He’s the second Auburn quarterback from the 2022 team to be named the starter elsewhere this season, after Robby Ashford was named the starter at Wake Forest on Sunday.
