X post by Elon Musk made on Feb. 27, 2024 When it originally unveiled the concept, Tesla quoted a 0-60 mph time of 1.9 seconds, a 0-100 mph time of 4.2 seconds, and a top speed of 250 mph.
Take a look at that trajectory. From the time the first P85D came out in late 2014 until now, the hottest Tesla's 0-60 time has dropped by slightly more than one full second.
Tesla currently quotes a 0-to-60-mph time of 2.9 seconds for the Model X and, as with the Model S, does not list a quarter-mile time.
