Philips’ remote control division has come up with a way to keep the size of touch-capable remotes down by making the buttons the touch sensitive surface.

Philips is looking to change that though with it's uWand remote, which lets users control Smart TVs with just three buttons and a few simple gestures.

With the release of the SRM7500, Philips claims the title of being the first to ship a Windows SideShow-capable remote. Unfortunately, actual support for SideShow isn't quite ready yet.
