Accessing saved files on Windows 11 has never been easier, thanks to the new Dropbox beta app integration across the File Explorer and Taskbar.

Smart Sync is essentially Dropbox’s take on Microsoft’s placeholders, a former OneDrive feature that also let you view online-only files within Windows’ File Explorer.

Dropbox announced an update called Project Infinite, allowing users to access cloud storage from Finder and Explorer without needing to download files.

A File Explorer window automatically pops up, prompting the recipient to download the file. If you shared a single file, Dropbox leaves the file as is.

You can also select and restore multiple files at once by using the Shift and Ctrl keys just as you would to select multiple files in the Windows File Explorer (Shift and Cmd on a Mac).
