China has reaffirmed its steadfast backing of 'iron brother' Pakistan's sovereignty after the nuclear-armed nation endured over 80 hours of conflict with its longtime rival, India.Chinese

China on Tuesday called for a "comprehensive and lasting ceasefire" between India and Pakistan, urging both countries to properly handle their differences through dialogue. At the same time, Foreign Minister Wang Yi also expressed China's support to “ironclad friend” Pakistan in safeguarding sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Ishaq Dar expressed appreciation for the Chinese government and people for their steadfast support to Pakistan in safeguarding its sovereignty, territorial integrity, and right to self-defence.
