July 24 (UPI) -- Britain and India agreed to a free trade agreement between their two nations Thursday.

President Donald Trump said Tuesday he and President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. of the Philippines have reached a trade agreement. Shortly after, he also revealed more detailed terms of an agreement with Indonesia.

President Trump said the agreement would partly walk back some of the steep tariffs he threatened on the country last week. Indonesia’s president called Mr. Trump a “tough negotiator.”

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in London on Wednesday evening ahead of meetings with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

CIM Goyal said the India-UK CETA is a gold standard of trade deals done by India, however, he added that no two trade deals can be the same, implying that the India-US deal is "fast progressing" but may take some more time.

Among the strongest performers, Thermo Fisher Scientific rose 12%, topping the leaderboard for large-cap stocks, followed by T-Mobile US, up 9%.
