CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — A federal judge in New Hampshire issued a ruling Thursday prohibiting President Donald Trump’s executive order ending birthright citizenship from taking effect anywhere in the U.S.

A federal judge halted the government from enforcing the order denying citizenship to babies born to undocumented immigrants and people with temporary status.

The American Civil Liberties Union sued June 27 after the Supreme Court backed President Trump’s request to scale back nationwide injunctions from lower courts.
