Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem was rushed to a hospital in the D.C. area Tuesday afternoon.
Democrats and Republicans alike were stunned when Senator Alex Padilla was forcibly removed from Noem's press conference.
A DHS spokesperson said Noem is 'alert and recovering' and was 'transported to the hospital out of an abundance of caution.'
