"No Kings Day" protests are set to be held in Southern California and throughout the country on Saturday to protest President Donald Trump's administration and to counterprogram the military parade in Washington,

The “No Kings” rallies were organized in nearly 2,000 locations nationwide, including cities, towns, and community spaces.

Trump called in the California National Guard and a few days later ordered Marines to the city. California Gov. Gavin Newsom filed a lawsuit over the president’s move to deploy members of the Guard without Newsom’s authorization.

No Kings” organizers described the events as a “nationwide day of defiance” against President Donald Trump and authoritarianism.

The "No Kings National Day of Mobilizations" is scheduled to take place nationwide Saturday, June 14, with several planned in Rhode Island.
